Participation in International Yoga Day on 21 June has been made mandatory for all employees across government departments, semi-government bodies, and public-sector corporations in Goa.
Daily yoga sessions are scheduled to begin on 1 June within government and semi-government departments, with the expectation of 100% attendance from staff members.
Employees unable to attend official sessions must participate in alternate venues such as schools, community halls, or temples and provide photographic proof to their department heads.
The initiative aims to integrate wellness into the workplace, improve productivity among public-sector workers, and introduce yoga in schools as they reopen on 4 June, mandating yoga sessions from the first day of the academic year in all government and higher secondary institutions.
