Google Brain founder Andrew Ng believes that artificial general intelligence (AGI) is overhyped and that humans will still have work to do in partnership with AI systems.
AGI refers to AI systems with human-level cognitive abilities, allowing them to learn and apply knowledge like people.
Ng expressed his views during a talk at Y Combinator, emphasizing the importance of humans both developing AI tools and mastering their use.
Other AI experts, including Yann LeCun, Demis Hassabis, and Microsoft's CEO, Satya Nadella, have also commented on the exaggerated fears and expectations surrounding AGI.
