A lawsuit over the fatal crash involving one of Google cofounder Sergey Brin's planes has ended in a settlement after two pilots died in May 2023 following a crash off the coast of California.
The settlement, filed in the Superior Court of Santa Clara County on May 9, is pending finalization in about 60 days and involves Brin, his private family office Bayshore Global, and related entities.
The lawsuit alleged negligence by Brin's entities that led to the plane crash due to a fuel bladder malfunction, causing the plane to run out of fuel and crash into the Pacific Ocean.
Another pilot's widow had filed a separate lawsuit against Brin and Bayshore, with indications of negotiations in progress to potentially reach a settlement, as per filings from November 2024.
