Google Drive has expanded its beta feature that allows shared drive managers and My Drive owners to restrict access to specific folders.
The feature is now available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
Shared drive managers and My Drive owners can restrict file and folder access using the "Update item only" option or by changing the share settings of the folder.
Google plans to remove support for limiting access to individual files or folders by next year.
