Google is updating its Google Voice app with a refreshed in-call interface and the ability to start a three-way conference call.
The new call interface features key call control buttons, including a 'Transfer' button and an 'Add' button that changes to 'Merge' for second call waiting.
Users can initiate a three-way call by tapping the 'Add' button during an existing call and selecting a contact from the list to merge calls with a tap.
The update is on extended rollout for Google Workspace customers and will eventually be available to all Google Voice users.
