Google has a fix for all of the broken Chromecasts
- Google has rolled out an update to fix Chromecasts that lost the ability to cast.
- The update also includes a fix for Chromecasts that were bricked after a factory reset.
- Google Home app update (version 3.30.1.6 for Android and 3.30.106 for iOS) enables setup and revival of broken Chromecast devices.
- The devices stopped working due to an expired certificate baked into the now-discontinued Chromecasts.
