Google Messages is rolling out its long-awaited snooze feature for chats, allowing users to snooze chats for one hour, eight hours, or 24 hours, with options for 'Always'.
The feature will also enable users to set notifications for mentions in chats, even though the Mentions feature is yet to be rolled out.
The Snooze chat function can be accessed through a contact's page or by long-pressing on a chat in the Google Messages inbox, allowing users to manage their conversations more effectively.
This new feature is part of Google Messages' recent efforts to introduce upgrades like a 'Delete for everyone' option and enhance its group chat ecosystem.
