The Universal Service Fund (USF) has allocated Rs. 9.5 billion over the past three and a half fiscal years to enhance telecommunication services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Telecom services, including 2G, 3G, and 4G, have been extended to 1,600 remote locations and network coverage has been expanded across 37.43 kilometers of key road segments.
The USF initiatives aim to reduce the digital divide and have resulted in significant investments in various regions, including Chitral, Kohistan, Khyber, Mohmand, D.I. Khan, Waziristan, Swabi, Swat, Bannu, and Buner.
The government has invested in projects related to tourism and highway connectivity development, as well as expanding fiber optic infrastructure in FATA and KPK.
