The government is considering reducing the per unit subsidy for electric buses under the PM E-Drive scheme to cater to more cities.Cities like Hyderabad, Surat, Bengaluru, and Pune have raised a subsidy demand for over 15,000 units.The newly formed Delhi government is also expected to request a significant number of e-buses.Currently, the Centre offers a subsidy of INR 20-35 Lakh per electric bus based on carrying capacity and specifications.
