Grindr, a dating app for LGBTQ+ people, is offering up to $300,000 over five years to cover adoption, surrogacy, and fertility treatments for its employees.
The benefit is available to anyone who has been with the company for 18 months and is managed through the Carrot Fertility healthcare platform.
A new law in California, where Grindr is based, starting July 1, expands fertility coverage, including treatment for same-sex couples and IVF.
Grindr's CEO hopes that more states will follow California's lead and that the company's example will encourage other businesses to offer similar benefits.
