Guinee*Potin Architects transforms a former biodiversity discovery center in La Roche-sur-Yon, France into Le Potager Extraordinaire, an agro-ecological park.
The new structures of the park, inspired by local rural typologies, feature timber-framed buildings with translucent and black-tinted materials to minimize environmental impact.
Le Potager Extraordinaire is designed around themes of agricultural, domestic, and vegetable biodiversity, showcasing edible gardens, greenhouses, and organic cultivation zones.
The project embraces bioclimatic design principles, utilizing solar orientation, passive ventilation, and local materials, and has been selected to represent France at the Venice Architecture Biennale.
