Ltd by the Gujarat government.</li><li>Kaul, a 2001-batch IAS officer, will succeed Tapan Ray for a three-year term and is currently serving as a joint secretary in the Union Ministry of Culture.</li><li>He holds a BE degree in Electronics and Communication and has held various senior positions in finance, ports, energy, and industries departments in the Government of Kerala.</li><li>During Tapan Ray's tenure, GIFT City Company Ltd became a wholly-owned Gujarat government entity, with various government bodies holding stakes, while Ray has been dealing with health issues.</li></ul>
