Harness Inc. has added a “multi-agent” artificial intelligence architecture into its software delivery-as-a-service platform.
This ecosystem of new AI-powered assistants aims to help developers with almost every aspect of software delivery.
Specialist AI assistants include the AI DevOps Assistant which automates routine pipeline generation and optimising workflows.
There is also a new AI Code Assistant, which helps developers as they write their software updates by suggesting code.
In addition, Harness also announced a new Database DevOps feature for simplifying the deployment and governance of database changes.
The main goal of Harness is to make it simple for developers to adopt and implement a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflow.
It is now accelerating that drive to cover the complete software delivery process.
The company is also making an entirely open-source version of its platform available, allowing developers to manage and deploy software at no cost.
Founder and Chief Executive Jyoti Bansal described the AI DevOps assistant and the Database DevOps capabilities as entirely new innovations that no one else offers.
The company wants Harness to be an end-to-end software delivery platform, building out its offering systematically piece by piece.
