Google's new Pixel 9a uses the Tensor G4 processor and offers on-device Gemini AI.
Due to the Pixel 9a's 8GB RAM limitation, Google had to use the smaller Gemini Nano 1.0 XXS model, which imposes usage limitations and could slow down Gemini access.
The transition from Assistant to Gemini will only spare users with phones that have at least the minimum amount of RAM.
Because the Pixel 9a has 8GB of RAM, it makes some sacrifices in terms of AI capabilities and memory constraints.
