A Mr Christmas jukebox has been retrofitted with an ESP32 and Home Assistant support.
The device was initially torn down to make room for new hardware, including an ESP32, WS2812B addressable RGB LEDs, and a DFPlayer module for music playback.
The buttons on the jukebox were wired up to the ESP32, allowing for reconfiguration and control via software changes.
The completed jukebox can now be used to control devices via Home Assistant, demonstrated by controlling an ESP-enabled LEGO train set.
