Honda has reportedly canceled plans for a large electric SUV that was supposed to launch in 2027 and has slashed its EV-related funding from ¥10 trillion to ¥7 trillion through 2030.
Despite the cancelation of the electric SUV, Honda is still planning to launch flagship electric sedan and midsize SUV EVs next year.
Honda had initially planned to launch seven EVs by 2030, but the current status of the remaining models is unclear as the automaker shifts focus to building more hybrids.
