Chinese auto maker BYD has announced its new Han L sedan with fast charging capability.
The sedan features an 83.2 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery pack operating at 945 volts.
Using a high-voltage electrical system running at 945 volts, the Han L can charge at up to 1 megawatt (1,000 kilowatts).
Despite the fast charge capability, the Chinese equivalent of the EPA test cycle suggests a more realistic range of around 160 miles from a five-minute charge.
