<ul><li>Chinese auto maker BYD has announced its new Han L sedan with fast charging capability.</li><li>The sedan features an 83.2 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery pack operating at 945 volts.</li><li>Using a high-voltage electrical system running at 945 volts, the Han L can charge at up to 1 megawatt (1,000 kilowatts).</li><li>Despite the fast charge capability, the Chinese equivalent of the EPA test cycle suggests a more realistic range of around 160 miles from a five-minute charge.</li></ul>
