Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is reportedly planning to reduce the number of vice president-level staff as part of ongoing cost-cutting measures.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg aims to simplify the reporting structure by implementing a stack ranking system and stricter performance evaluations for high-level executives. This initiative follows Meta's "year of efficiency," which involved laying off over 20,000 employees.
The company had seen a significant increase in vice presidents in 2023, and now seeks to trim this number to around 250 from approximately 300. The focus is on reducing middle and top-level management to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
