How to Adjust Sound Outputs for Specific Apps on Windows 10/11

  • To adjust the volume for individual apps in Windows 10/11, you can use either the Sound Settings or the Volume Mixer.
  • To adjust sound settings using the Sound Settings, follow these steps: First, click the Start button and select Settings. On the Settings page, click on System. On the left pane, click on Sound. Scroll down and find the Advanced sound options. Under the advanced sound options, click on the App Volume and device preferences. Adjust the volume level for each app.
  • To adjust sound settings using the Volume Mixer, follow these steps: Right-click the Sound icon on the taskbar and select Open Volume Mixer. You will see two volume sliders - Device & Application. Slide the volume slider to adjust the volume output from a specific app. Click on the sound icon to mute the app's sound.
  • These methods allow you to adjust the volume for individual apps on Windows 10/11 computers.
