Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced it will lay off 2,500 employees, about 5 percent of its workforce.Although HPE recorded solid Q1 results with increased profits and revenues, its 2025 outlook disappointed investors.HPE's share price fell 19 percent on Thursday as a result, and is currently down nearly 5 percent at $17.96.The company also faced a setback in its proposed $14 billion acquisition of Juniper due to competition concerns raised by the US Justice Department.
