The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) has announced the latest recipients of its Bitcoin Development Fund grants.
The grants worth 7 BTC which are currently worth around $706,000 have been given to 20 different projects from across the globe.
The grantees include independent media outlets, focuses on technical education for people living under authoritarian regimes, projects decentralizing mining, and more private financial solutions for human rights groups.
The grants will mainly focus on regions in Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
Recipients include Naiyoma, the first female Bitcoin Core developer from Africa and Tomatech, a community dedicated to building a team of developers in India to advance Bitcoin infrastructure.
Other projects that have received funding include No BS Bitcoin, Tando, Unify, YakiHonne, and more.
The Human Rights Foundation is a nonpartisan, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that promotes and protects human rights globally, with a focus on closed societies.
The HRF continues to raise support for the Bitcoin Development Fund.
