More than 400 members of the entertainment industry have signed a letter to push back on OpenAI and Google's proposal to allow AI models to train on copyrighted content.
The letter claims both companies are arguing for a special government exemption to freely exploit creative industries.
The letter directly addresses Google and OpenAI's comments on the AI Action Plan, stating that existing copyright laws should not be weakened or eliminated.
Last year, Hollywood stars supported California's AI safety bill, which was vetoed by Governor Gavin Newsom.
