Hyderabad-based SpaceTech startup, TakeMe2Space, has raised ₹5.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round to launch India's first AI Lab in space.
The funding, led by Seafund and participated by Artha Venture Fund, Blume Ventures, AC Ventures, and angel investors, will support the mission of making space accessible and affordable for research institutions and commercial entities. TakeMe2Space aims to build indigenous solutions for space exploration and use AI to process data directly in orbit, reducing latency and bandwidth requirements.
With this funding, TakeMe2Space plans to accelerate its growth and expand globally, focusing on providing a smooth experience for customers of its AI Lab.
The company has already completed space missions in collaboration with ISRO's POEM platform and expects its revenue to double in the next 12 months. The goal is to enable anyone, regardless of their background, to operate a satellite and run experiments in space.
