Hyundai unveiled the Ioniq 6 N, its second performance EV, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England, boasting features designed to mimic high-performance vehicles like shifting, engine noise, and drifting.
The Ioniq 6 N shares components with the Ioniq 5 N, including an 84kWh battery pack, but offers a range of up to 291 miles on the WLTP cycle, faster acceleration, and a top speed of 160 mph.
Equipped with twin motors producing up to 641 horsepower and 568 ft-lb torque, the Ioniq 6 N has an N Grin Boost function, N Launch Control, and can fast charge from 0 to 80 percent in about 18 minutes at speeds up to 350 kW.
The car also features drift capabilities, simulated eight-speed dual-clutch transmission through N e-Shift, and various performance enhancements. Price details are yet to be revealed but expected to be competitive in the performance EV market.
