Beth Bigler, a former Hollywood executive, switched careers to become a pet grief counselor after her cat's death led her to seek grief counseling herself.
Following her own transformative experience, Bigler started her private practice providing pet grief counseling, which quickly grew, leading to the hiring of additional counselors and the authoring of a book on pet loss.
Her business now sees 30 to 60 clients a week in online sessions, and she has assisted over 1,000 clients since starting.
Bigler emphasizes the importance of pet grief counseling, despite it being a niche field, as pet loss is a widely experienced form of grief.
She highlights the transformative nature of pet loss grief, advocating for embracing change and allowing grief to lead to positive transformations in life.
