<ul><li>As many as 25 weapons were seized and 21 persons detained in Gujarat's Surendranagar district for allegedly obtaining arms licenses through suspicious means.</li><li>Of the 21 detained, 17 bought 25 weapons worth about Rs 25 lakh, while others had only obtained licenses.</li><li>14 out of the 17 firearm owners have previous criminal records, including murder and extortion.</li><li>Investigation is underway to determine the criminal history of the remaining individuals.</li></ul>
