CES 2025 saw reveals of excellent handheld gaming PCs, including the MSI Claw 8 AI+, Lenovo Legion Go S and Acer Nitro Blaze 8.
The MSI Claw 8 AI+ launches with an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processer and 140V GPU, providing stronger battery life and excellent graphical performance.
The Lenovo Legion Go S is a mid-generation upgrade of the previous Lenovo Legion Go, now using a less overwhelming display resolution of 1920x1200 120Hz VRR.
The Legion Go S has a choice of SteamOS or Windows 11, and comes with either the Ryzen Z2 Go or Z1 Extreme chip model.
Acer's Nitro Blaze 11 was deemed too expensive and large, so the Nitro Blaze 8 launched instead and may lose out to competitors MSI Claw 8 AI+ and the Legion Go S.
The Nitro Blaze 8 comes with an 8.8-inch display, 16GB of RAM and utilizes AMD's Ryzen 7 8840HS processor which has the same Radeon 780M iGPU as the Ryzen Z1 Extreme and the Legion Go S.
All three handheld gaming PCs are set to release in 2025, with the MSI Claw 8 AI+ available for pre-order in the US for $899.99.
The Lenovo Legion Go S is also available for pre-order now, with the Windows 11 Z2 Go models (16GB or 32GB) starting at $729.99 and shipping this month.
The Acer Nitro Blaze 8 will be available in Q2 this year starting at $899.
2025 looks set to be a fantastic year for handheld gaming PC enthusiasts.
