The India Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm warning for 15 districts of Odisha on April 2.
The districts included in the thunderstorm warning are Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Angul, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, and Koraput.
The thunderstorms are expected to bring light rain, lightning, and gusty winds of 40-50 km/h.
The India Meteorological Department has advised people to stay indoors, close windows and doors, and avoid travel if possible.
