IMD Predicts Heat Wave In Parts Of North, Central India From June 9, Monsoon Revival In South

  • India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts heat wave in parts of North and Central India from June 9.
  • IMD Scientist Naresh Kumar expects a heat wave to hit West Rajasthan on June 9 and extend to South Punjab, South Haryana, South Uttar Pradesh, and North Madhya Pradesh on June 10.
  • In South India, monsoon is predicted to revive in the next three to four days, with heavy rainfall expected in Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
  • No heat wave warning for Delhi and the National Capital Region, but temperatures may rise by 2–4°C in the next few days.
