Kyre Chenven and Ivano Atzori have bought and revitalized a cluster of ruined houses in southern Sardinia, transforming it into the rural haven Luxi Bia.
The agrarian community, known as furriadroxu, was abandoned by a sprawling family in the 19th century.
The couple relocated from Tuscany to Sardinia in 2014, drawn by the island's deep history and independent culture.
Sardinia's isolation from the mainland has allowed it to develop a unique and change-resistant identity.
