Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, requested the 16th Finance Commission to increase the states' share in central taxes to 50%.
Naidu emphasized that the share of horizontal devolution has been declining from 23.4% to 15.80%, resulting in financial loss for Andhra Pradesh.
He mentioned that Andhra Pradesh lacks a capital like Hyderabad, which has become a major problem.
Naidu also highlighted the state's development initiatives, aiming to make Andhra Pradesh a $2.4 trillion economy with 15% annual growth in State Gross Domestic Product (GSDP).
