India has surpassed Japan to become the fourth largest economy at $4 trillion, as per NITI Aayog CEO.
According to IMF data, India is now larger than Japan and is projected to become the third largest economy in 2-3 years.
The IMF's World Economic Outlook report projects India's economy to grow by 6.2% in 2025 and 6.3% in 2026, maintaining its status as the fastest-growing large economy.
During the NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting, discussions were held on various themes including manufacturing services, rural and urban economy, and green economy.
