OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has praised India's rapid adoption of AI, noting the country's creativity surge and faster AI adoption compared to other regions.
OpenAI is considering setting up a data centre in India and offering data residency options in India, as well as other Asian countries, for users of its APIs and ChatGPT products.
Altman aims for a unified AI system globally through initiatives like OpenAI for Countries, while India is also investing in developing its own AI models tailored to the Indian context.
