<ul><li>India has requested consultations with Indonesia under the World Trade Organisation rules on the extension of safeguard measures by Indonesia on cotton yarn.</li><li>India proposed the consultations to be held virtually from June 10-13, 2025, or on a mutually convenient date and time.</li><li>The request for consultations is made pursuant to a provision of the WTO's Agreement on Safeguards to review information and exchange views on the extension of the safeguard measure.</li><li>These consultations are not part of the WTO's dispute settlement system, and India reserves all its rights under the WTO's safeguard agreement.</li></ul>
