<ul><li>Anand Prakash, an ethical hacker and CEO of cybersecurity firm Pingsafe, discovered a security gap in LinkedIn that could have allowed anyone to delete any posts on the platform.</li><li>The vulnerability was discovered in 2018 as part of LinkedIn's bug bounty program, which rewards individuals who find security flaws or vulnerabilities in the platform's internet-facing applications.</li><li>LinkedIn fixed the issue after it was discovered, but only recently gave permission for Prakash to disclose the bug. He received a $10,000 reward for his discovery.</li><li>Prakash has previously found and reported vulnerabilities on social media platforms such as Twitter and Tinder, as well as ride-sharing platform Uber.</li></ul>
