India's AI unicorn Krutrim acquires BharatSah’AI’yak from Samagra

  • Krutrim has absorbed BharatSah'AI'yak's core team, known for deploying AI solutions like the KumbhSahAIyak chatbot. This chatbot provided support to pilgrims during the Maha Kumbh 2025 event, facilitated by Krutrim’s LLM services.
  • The acquisition is expected to strengthen Krutrim's collaborations with government agencies, leveraging BharatSahAIyak’s experience with Krutrim's technical infrastructure. Krutrim plans to scale BharatSahAIyak nationwide using its AI models, agentic platform, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Krutrim has launched Krutrim AI Lab and BharatBench to accelerate Indian AI research. The company aims to expand its data center capacity to 1 gigawatt by 2028, supported by a $1.2 billion capital commitment by next year.
  • Krutrim became a unicorn in January 2024 after securing $50 million from investors like Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners India) and the Sarin Family.
