Germany-based semiconductor giant, Infineon Technologies, is set to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in GIFT City, Gujarat.
The new facility will employ approximately 400 engineers and is expected to play a crucial role in supporting Infineon's global research and development (R&D) and digital initiatives.
The GCC will focus on areas such as semiconductor chip design, product software, information technology, supply chain management, systems, and applications engineering.
Infineon's decision to choose Ahmedabad as the location for the new GCC is due to the city's emergence as a growing technology and semiconductor hub.
