British designer Faye Toogood and her family moved to a Victorian country manor in Hampshire for more space and privacy, settling in a 6,500 square feet house on five and a half acres of land.
Toogood and her husband refurbished the mansion to soften the space, restoring original finishes, adding traditional Victorian elements, and revamping the kitchen with classic features like Aga stove and Derbyshire fossil stone countertops.
The interior design of the manor is a departure from Toogood's typical minimalist style, featuring floral curtains, rose fabric headboards, and botanical armchairs, reflecting a return to their appreciation for print and pattern from their early careers.
The picturesque setting of the mansion, overlooking fields and the River Itchen, was a key factor in the family's decision to move, with the view being a non-negotiable aspect that drew them to the property.
