Air India Dreamliner VT-ANB experienced a fatal incident on June 12, with detailed events leading to the crash released in a preliminary report by Indian investigators.
The aircraft, after a routine landing in Ahmedabad from New Delhi, began its take-off sequence from Runway 23 but encountered engine trouble shortly after liftoff.
Issues with the fuel cutoff switches led to engine failures, deployment of the Ram Air Turbine (RAT), and subsequent loss of altitude before crashing beyond the airport perimeter wall.
Despite attempts at engine relight and recovery, distress calls, and rescue mobilization, the aircraft tragically crashed with data recording ceasing just after the distress call.
