Instagram is rolling out a scheduling feature for direct messages (DMs). Users can schedule DMs by holding down the send button and selecting a date and time.
The feature allows users to schedule messages up to 29 days in advance and displays a banner for scheduled messages until they are sent.
This feature will be useful for scheduling birthday messages, reminders, and for managing correspondence without revealing the timing.
Instagram is introducing DM scheduling before rolling out the ability to schedule posts and Reels, which is currently limited to professional accounts.
