Institutions are buying Bitcoin, but there has been a decline in overall demand for Bitcoin recently, despite institutional activity like ETF inflows and corporate purchases.
ETFs added 40,000 BTC in the past month, significantly down from 86,000 BTC in December 2024, and corporate Bitcoin purchases have also slowed.
Total demand for Bitcoin has decreased by 895,000 BTC over the last month, outweighing the BTC accumulated by ETFs and Strategy, indicating a disconnect between institutional buying and market dynamics.
Analysts suggest that institutional inflows alone may not be sufficient to drive a significant rally in Bitcoin prices without a broader resurgence in demand, potentially keeping Bitcoin in a consolidating phase.
