Intel and AMD, along with other tech giants, have formed a new x86 ecosystem advisory group to address the rising challenge from ARM Holdings.
The group aims to expand the x86 ecosystem by enabling compatibility across platforms and simplifying software development.
Founding members include Intel, AMD, Broadcom, Dell, Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HP Inc, Meta, Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat, and Lenovo.
The advisory group will focus on enhancing customer choice, improving software consistency, and enabling greater integration of new capabilities into x86 products.
