Intel has released its new Arrow Lake range of desktop CPUs, called Core Ultra 200S, which no longer includes the simultaneous multi-threading (SMT) feature.
The new range delivers an 8% performance improvement in single-threaded workloads and a 4% uplift compared to the Ryzen 9 9950X in gaming potential.
In multi-threaded performance, Intel claims its Core Ultra 9 285K provides 15% higher performance than the last-gen Core i9-14900K and 13% higher performance than AMD's Ryzen 9 9950X.
The new Arrow Lake chips support Sony's new 4K and 8K XAVC codecs, offering substantial improvements in video workflows.
