Intel identified five issues with the performance of Arrow Lake CPUs, four of which are resolved now.The latest BIOS and Windows Updates will restore Arrow Lake processors to their expected level of performance.Intel found that an incorrect Processor Power Management, or PPM, package in Windows 11 resulted in a 6% to 30% performance drop.Intel's Application Optimization did not work as intended on Arrow Lake due to the incorrect PPM package.Older versions of the Easy Anti-Cheat software caused a Blue Screen of Death with Arrow Lake CPUs, which is resolved with an updated driver.Several "VIP settings" in the BIOS were not configured properly at release, causing variations in performance across motherboards and BIOS versions.Intel plans on offering performance data accounting for all of the new changes to media at CES 2025 next month.Intel says complete and intended functionality is restored on Arrow Lake CPUs right now.A new firmware with additional performance improvements is expected to release in January 2022.Arrow Lake CPUs previously showed up to a 30% loss in real-world performance compared to Intel's in-house testing, particularly in games.
