Iran's top diplomat, Abbas Araghchi, stated that Iran will continue to engage with the UN's nuclear watchdog despite previously announcing the suspension of cooperation.
Cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will be supervised by Iran's Supreme National Security Council for safety reasons, according to Araghchi.
Iran affirms its commitment to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and its Safeguards Agreement, aiming to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons and enhance trust in its peaceful atomic activities.
The comments are expected to ease concerns about Iran potentially withdrawing from the NPT following the recent war with Israel, which saw UN inspectors remaining in the country despite limited access to nuclear sites.
