Designer Iris van Herpen debuted a dress made from glowing algae at Paris Couture Week.
The bioluminescent dress is woven from millions of microalgae in a liquid matrix, responding to movement with a soft glow.
Co-created with biodesigner Chris Bellamy, the dress is a blend of science, art, and fashion, featuring a stunning cape that pulses with light.
While not for sale, the dress showcases a unique living fabric created by growing algae in seawater baths and embedding them in a liquid-filled membrane.
