Colin Angle, co-founder of iRobot, is raising $30 million for his new home robotics venture, Familiar Machines & Magic.So far, Familiar Machines has raised $15 million from eight investors, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.The company, based in Boston with plans for a presence in Los Angeles, aims to develop a new kind of home robot focused on health and wellness.Despite previous failures in the home robotics market, the potential value of the household robots segment is estimated to be $24.5 billion by 2028.
