Google has updated its Gemini feature, allowing it to connect to apps like WhatsApp by default, regardless of App Activity settings.
Gemini still accesses data to complete tasks, even without storing interaction history and holds data for up to 72 hours, allowing human reviewers to view message content.
Gemini can perform various functions like sending messages, interpreting images or text, and making calls using your phone's data.
Users concerned about privacy can disable Gemini's access to apps, manage permissions on Android devices, and stay proactive in monitoring and controlling access.
