Porsche is facing delays in launching key EV projects, including the electric 718 and a new three-row SUV, due to weaker-than-expected demand for EVs and issues with battery supplier Northvolt.
The launch of the electric 718 and flagship electric SUV has been affected, with the 718 EV now scheduled to debut later this year, much later than initially anticipated.
The delay in the electric 718's release date to 2027 is significantly later than the mid-decade timeline previously suggested by Porsche.
Porsche is also reconsidering its plans for fully electric vehicles, with hints at potential hybrid or ICE setups for some models, in line with its commitment to sticking with combustion engines for longer.
