Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange will remain closed on Monday, April 14, on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti – the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar.
Both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the BSE will remain closed today for trading and settlement in stocks, derivatives, and securities lending and borrowing (SLB) segments.
This year marks the 134th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar – the chief architect of India’s constitution.
Ambedkar Jayanti will be the second weekday market holiday in April. Trading will also remain suspended on April 18 to mark Good Friday. Indian stock markets remain closed on all Saturdays and Sundays of the month unless specified otherwise.
